Target: Inventory

Specific  questions:We are using the Spectrum in-hand portable bar code
reader for inventory, and have several questions. How do you know when you
have scanned a barcode that the system does not recognize?  Is there a way
to get items that the system says are checked out,  checked in,  when they
are on the shelf?  Why does the report of the unrecognizable bar codes
repeat the unrecognizable bar code several times?
General Questions:
How often do you inventory your libraries' holdings?
When do you inventory your libraries' holdings?
What helpful tips do you have about inventory?
