OK, so one of the things that happens when you face a crisis like your
school closing is that you get fragmented and send email with no message.
I'm so sorry. Please accept my appology.
What I wanted to tell you is that our school has been closed for the second
time since February due to air quality issues - dust and possibly mold. We
have staff and students out in satellite schools in temporary classrooms set
up in libraries, gym's, board rooms, etc. I am traveling between schools and
providing mostly tech support. I know that will rustle some feathers after
recent posts about the tech culprit...but technology is how we have stayed
connected through this mess. I have actually turned the library web page
into the information center for the library and in some cases the school.
Fortunately we are able to have a weekly staff meeting at a local fire
station and we can access our district email on the web.
I have read with great sympathy and understanding the posts from librarians
facing other losses due to floods, etc. I will not know for a while (none of
us will) if our building will open in the fall.
