Hi Ken There is also a great story on http://www.crikey.com.au/business/wtohoax.html about some accountants who got scammed here, ran a press release that ended up with some Canadian government minister having egg on his face. Others, in Finland I think, were also duped by the same hoax because the presenters had a "great PowerPoint presentation". I was listening to this on the radio in my car yesterday, so when I got home, I emailed the broadcaster to tell him of the importance that we teacher-librarians place on teaching our kids the need to confirm the authenticity of Internet-based materials, and that even print materials need to be cross-referenced! There seems to be a lack of understanding amongst the public about the importance of this part of our role and so I took the opportunity to spread the word!
