Hello,
My principal is very keen on increasing the size of my building's =
computer lab, which is wonderful, but a number of issues are cropping up =
as obstacles. One of these is the existing number of network drops is =
far short of the number needed to "up-size" our present mini lab to a =
full size lab. We're getting quotes from our district MIS department =
that indicate it would cost us about $2,000 in drops and another $1,500 =
in switches.
My principal says he's read articles indicating that wireless networking =
may be cheaper. So, I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience =
working in a wireless environment. I you do, would you please contact me =
and share a bit about your experience with prices, installation and =
day-to-day-operations issues. BTW- we're Windows 2K based for both =
servers and desktop computers.
Thank you,
