Hello Everyone, and Happy Read Across America Day!

Bullock Kids Love to Read!

Today we had a wonderful assembly. We had the President of Rowan University,
here is Glassboro, come and read the Cat in the Hat to 600 kids and about
150 adults in our gym.

Since the book is small, and the gym is big, I had an old filmstrip
projector set up with a filmstrip (never throw anything away!) of the Cat
story. Dr. Farish sat on the stage next to a screen. We had the lights
turned down, and a small lamp on a table next to his chair. We showed the
filmstrip as the book was read. Although the projector is old and it is hard
to see the projected image, It went really well.

However - I am wondering what technology you use to do something like this.
I realize videos replaced filmstrips, but I like to be able to control the
speed. I guess a book's illustrations could be scanned and pasted into a
PowerPoint presentation, but I am sure there are copyright issues and it
would be a big project.

Hmmmm.......
