Target: New Titanic

Way back in the last millennium when the Blockbuster hit, Titanic, was in the 
theaters (1999?), someone somewhere had announced that a new Titanic was being 
built--a twin of the original.

Has anyone heard any updates about this?  Did it indeed occur, or was it someone's 
impractical pipe-dream.
