About a year or so ago, I read a reference to a study that compared the reading comprehension for material read on a computer screen to material read from the printed page, especially books. The study showed that people had a much higher degree of comprehension when reading a book. Evidently our brains are much more able to take in the words and meaning when they are in the traditional 2 page book format, or at least on a one page printed sheet. The computer divides up the material into chunks that are too short for effective comprehension. I cannot seem to locate any reference to this study in LM_NET archives. I am hoping that your collective wisdom can lead me to this study. TIA!!! Jacquie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All that is gold does not glitter Not all those that wander are lost ~~J. R.
