Re: SLJ subscription

I've been reading these postings and thinking I wish. Last fall I asked two
colleagues if they would share the cost of SLJ, but we decided to skip it.
At that time the cost was around $150 dollars, it may have been more. I
can't imagine what the Canadian price is now. Our low dollar hits us hard
when we are ordering books. In BC there is going to be major cut backs and
job loses for the fall. The B.C. government has stripped all the language
about non enrolling teachers. The Chilliwack school district has to find 3
million dollars for the next school year! We are also hosting the BCTLA
fall conference. I'm trying to be positive.... yes I will have job... yes
there will be Teacher-librarians left to attend our conference.

P.S.  If you'd like to attend a wonderful conference at Harrison Hot
Springs send me a message. It's a beautiful location and will be a bargain
