We are planning two new schools with, of course, two new libraries (one elementary, one middle school). I've checked the archives for core collection information and that proved helpful. If you've opened a new library, perhaps you could help further. I'm wondering how much time it took you to get the library circulation ready: from the time the books and materials arrived to the first check out. How many people did you have working? We plan to order the books processed and shelf ready, but did you find there was still some cataloging or editing to do? If we received shipment by August 1, would we be able to open the first week of September? I have a feeling I'm forgetting something important. Thanks for any experiences you may have had and are willing to share.
