--=======21401834======= Content-Type: text/plain; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-4D872AEE; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I am working with a school library/librarian that is getting into sensitivity issues regarding books about suicide. The materials seem to be information on prevention, not how-to-manuals. Should the school councilor be advised of persons checking out this type of materials? I am interested in several things: 1. policy on school library confidentiality (links to, or fax this part of the policy to 620-365-5137) 2. anecdotal information on breeches of confidentiality 3. sensitivity issues regarding depressed students and preventing disasters 4. specific library literature fairly current (last 2-3 years) on this issue. 5. good Internet sites that discuss the issue Please post answers directly to me, unless an interesting thread develops for general discussion.
