TAR: Evaluation of Administrator's Tech Skills

Please forgive cross-posting if you are on several listservs --

I am looking for districts that have developed and implemented

           1) a formal method of evaluating/measuring the technology
              skills of ADMINISTRATORS in your system;

           2) any devices (surveys, test-outs, etc.) that are used
              for this purpose,

  AND/OR   3) any program development SPECIFICALLY targeted for
              school administrators

  AND      4) your perceptions of the general technology skill level of
              administrators, as a whole, in your district, using the
              following rating scale --

              ____  Excellent
              ____  Good
              ____  Fair
              ____  Poor

Any other comments, which will I promise you will remain entirely confidential
through anonimity, will be welcomed.  For example, has your district tried to
deal with this issue with successful or unsuccessful results? have you
experienced resistance? WHO in your district has taken on such a challenge,
who is responsible for the training?  Have administrators been sent out of
district for training, or been provided in-house prof. dev. training separate
from certificated staff?
