LM_NET Archive

Dear Jan
DON'T pay someone - go to http://www.symantec.com and download a free trial
of Nortons Antivirus, and when it is installed have it scan your machine for
infected files. It will pick up those that are infected and clean them or
delete them as you choose. Even simpler, there are removal tools that you
can download from
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html

I know that this virus has another name apart from "Magister" that someone
on the list should be able to remember, and tell you. It is not showing up
as 'magister" in the encyclopedia of all these things at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html

Then spend the $75 on the latest version of NAV (downloadable for about
$US50) and use the other $25 for a cup of coffee to toast your LM_NET mates
who solved it without rip-off technicians.
