Emlyn is a good kid who never gets in trouble but likes to plan
crimes in her head without ever the thought of committing them.
One day she gets involved in a HS prank to steal a mummy from
the local museum. After the mummy is taken, members of the
group decide to change the plan and steal the jewels out of the
belly of the mummy and Emlyn fights against it. Will the mummy
get returned? Will it be damaged? Will Emlyn ever want to do
such a thing again? This 213 page book has many levels besides
the HS prank - such as a major struggle between the director of the
museum and the Board of Directors. As usual, a Cooney book is a
good read.
