May I just add that we had a FABULOUS visit with Mary Casanova at our
school this fall (I highly recommend her to you all--for more info see
<http://www.maslibraries.org/authill/authill1.html#C>). In preparation,
two of the fifth grade classes read CURSE OF A WINTER MOON aloud and
studied it in conjunction with their Colonial America studies, since the
time frame roughly coincided. The kids and teachers LOVED this book!
