I have a problem with two Mavicas that I've never encountered before. =
It makes the user format the disk (I've tried several different disks, =
and this is the case with all of them), and then the disk (when full of =
pictures) cannot be read in any computer. We've never had to always =
format disks; I've rarely done this in the past. Anyway, after =
formatting, it takes pics and they can be played back in the camera and =
look fine but not at all in any computer. I've controlled and changed =
many variables to see if I could figure something out, but haven't had =
any luck. I'm not a new Mavica user, and I've also conferred with other =
colleagues who have experience, and none of us can figure it out. I =
also called Sony, and the rep told me to take out both batteries and =
then put them back in - in effect this was resetting it. That worked on =
one camera but not the other. I'm now going to change both of its =
batteries to brand-new ones to see if that works. I'm really hoping =
that someone has encountered this before and can give me some insight. =
This is only the second year on these cameras; they are heavily used, =
but I would think they shouldn't be going on the blink already.
