TAR: Book suggestion - 6th grade

My 6th grade teachers are looking for a suggestion for a novel for the =
class to read together.  They want a book with a modern setting, a =
female main character, and lots of action.  It can be middle school =
level.  Any ideas?  I'm drawing a blank...
