  Use the same guidelines that you would use for any other part of your
collection.  You really need to be familiar with how it is used to
determine the value of the contents of any folder.  If the librarian you
are with is planning to keep the file, articles that are biographies or
interviews are always useful, as are articles about local history, maybe
the maps that come with National Geographics and info on careers, but that
can get outdated quickly.  Other than that, we found our files were not
used, and they ARE a pain to refile - no one has the time to do it when
the library is buzzing.
