In a few days, I will have a final interview for a position at a brand new primary (Pre-K =96 2) school. The principal has asked that I make some notes on (1) how I would set up a new media center and (2) what plans I would have for programs the first year. She would like to discuss these things at our meeting. I have checked the archives for setting up a new library. Most hits refer to furnishings, physical arrangement, ordering books, and so on. I was wondering if anyone has other suggestions about the process in general, such as priorities, organization, problems encountered, and helpful hints. I would also love to hear about some of your creative motivational reading programs (not AR or Reading Counts). =20 TIA!
