Catalogers: Does anyone know of a new list of GMDs and SMDs
(general material designators and specific materials
designators used in the 245 $h subfield in MARC records)? I
know a list must be out there because I just found out that
there are new GMDs for electronic resources and computer
files. This must have happened in the last year. I have
the 1999 edition of Cataloging Nonbook Materials with AACR2R
and MARC by McCroskey (ALA), but it does not have the new
ones. The author does mention that the GMDs for computer
resources may be changed. If anyone has a copy, I would
love to have it! =20
