Perhaps one way to solve this problem is for LMSs and teachers to =
COLLABORATE on a grading system. I have gotten a lot of cooperation from =
my teachers in making the research process part of a final grade - a part =
on which I am consulted. While I don't actually give the grade, I help the =
teachers with their rubrics so that research problem-solving/strategies =
are addressed. I have also gotten a lot of cooperation by teaching that =
part of the process with the classroom teacher. They see what I cover and =
how I cover it and then they are more empowered to evaluate whether or not =
the student was able to follow through on the information literacy lessons =
and strategies that were given to them.=20
Real teachers and Real library media specialists are both extremely =
necessary in the learning process - especially when they work together! =
Just my .02!=20
