Dear LM_Netters: District administration has asked me to get info about The Bronze Bow for a parental challenge. The parent has no problem with the book being in the library; she wants it out of the classroom. I've been asked to find out: 1. Do any other public (not religion-based), schools use this book in the classroom? If so, have any concerns been raised about its content? 2. Does anyone know of other fiction books from the same time period (ancient Rome, around the time of Jesus) that might meet the same goals as The Bronze Bow, for 6th grade gifted students? I have used the archives to get a list of possible books, but there was nothing about content concerns there.
