SEC: Book suggestions?

Greetings,
I know that many of you will soon be off for vacation, but I have a =
group of eager English teachers with a request.

Our teachers are interested in locating some book titles for their 11th =
grade students with the following criteria:

a contemporary novel
with a multicultural theme or flavor
a female protagonist
possibly a female author

Do you have any suggestions?
I will post a hit if I have requests.
