Dear Fellow Librarians,

This is in response to the posting about students
playing games on library computers. I service a
middle school, grades 6, 7, and 8. I have a standing
rule in the library, "No Games, No Videos and No
Email!". However, I understand your problem. Even
with the rules about using the computers, the students
constantly disregard them. If I am not standing
directly over them, they are always in sites that are
unacceptable. It is impossible for me to assist other
students because I am constantly watching the computer
screens.

I have no assistance in the library therefore I must
check out books, assist with locating material, assist
with computer searching, make copies of articles on
the copy machine and attend to the many other
concerns that may arise during a library session.

Please post suggestions that you may have to assist
with this problem.
