My high school has instituted smaller learning communities. The school is forming teams of teachers as a result. Our problem is that we do not know how librarians fit into teams. We service all the grades in our school-grades 9-12. Sometimes we have as many as ninety classes in a month. With the luxury of three librarians and a full-time assistant, we can handle a large number of classes. We do not want to restrict our time with one team per librarian because we all teach all the classes. If anyone has had experience with smaller learning communities as a librarian, please give us some insight. Thanks, Elaine Ardeneaux Destrehan High School Destrehan, LA (outside of New Orleans) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
