Music in Powerpoints on the web

I was interested in the discussion in putting music in powerpoints.
Is there a way to retain that music when posting the powerpoints to
the web?  I have tried this with music that plays throughout a web
presentation, but when you put the powerpoint on the web with the
music file in the same folder it doesn't play.  I have attached the
music as a movie.  I am using Powerpoint 98 on a Mac OS 9.1 system.
