On Monday, March 11th we were fortunate to have an author visit by = Jacqueline Briggs Martin the author of Snowflake Bentley (the 1999 = Caldecott winner) and about twelve other books. My K-6 students really = liked her books and here are some of the comments they wrote in their = thank you letters. I thought I would share them with you because earlier = today someone asked 'Why are author visits important?' My students wrote:=20 "I felt more confident as a writer after your visit." "A lot of kids want to be authors now." "You have inspired many people young and old with your visit." --=20 Kathy Geronzin District Librarian Northeast Community School District 3690 Hwy # 136 Goose Lake, IA 52750 563-577-2249 e-mail kathy_geronzin@po-1.northeast.k12.ia.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
