The question was asked about starting in the media center before you had
taken a cataloging course. Well, I started in the media center in August
before my course. It was rough. I had no idea how to put a new book into the
system. I used the LOC website a lot until I really got into my course. Now
I am fixing a lot of mistakes that I made. I don't think the shorter class
will be a big problem. There was a lot of fluff in my class that I could
have done without. Trial by fire! You can do it though.
