Good morning to all! I have a contingent of 8th grade girls in my middle school who love the angst-ridden, gang-related, girl on the edge type of books. Some of their favorite titles are Party Girl by Lynne Ewing, Tenderness by Robert Cormier, Tightrope by Gillian Cross, Speak by Laurie Anderson, The Facts Speak for Themselves by Brock Cole. They also liked Give a Boy a Gun and they love Go Ask Alice. They keep asking for A Child Called It, but I don't have it! Does anyone have any titles along this line to recommend? I'm all out of suggestions for these girls, and since I am in the process of putting together a book order, I thought I would see if any of you could give me some suggestions that these girls might like! Thanks for your help! Julie Purdy Mt.
