Hello friends, with the amount of information on the web and with the ease of NROP napping which is taking place, I thought of gathering together some of the best sites for our kids between 8-14 year old. This idea came yesterday as I was in a meeting with a parent with whom I was discussing the need of learning the information skills especially when it comes to internet. Though she was in favor of getting internet she was reluctant since she has no skills in that area. Therefore, apart that my suggestion was to go to courses provided - even by myself - on internet, I emphasised the fact that in this area, the librarian has a key role in supplying the correct information even suggesting the best sites for kids' homeworks in order to try to eliminate as much as possible any unsolicited material. Therefore, if you would like to send me personally on camm@maltanet.net particular sites with the proper subject, I will gladly make a hit. <<If information is power, and libraries equal information, then, libraries are power>> C.
