Actually, I'm not sure of any advantage to using a compiling service. The kids spend the same amount of time gathering the information and inputting it into a program. But, they lose the 'hands on' of learning the order of the parts and getting a feel for the punctuation. Assuming they are word processing, the alphabetizing can be handled by the program.
