First, what would you do in this situation? A child checked out a brand new book and brought it back with pencil writting all over the inside cover (but erased) and she had pulled off the inside barcode label and the glue residue made two pages stick together. Then, I noticed that my books are coming back with the corners all "chewed" up (this happens a great deal and soon the spines are "peeling"). I had this thought...could it be from the milk crates that teachers use in their classrooms to collect the books? I even have one in the library as a return bin when I have stepped out of the library for a moment. Has anyone else noticed this? Or do you have any other ideas about why this seems to be happening so much? TIA! Jeanna Dennis, LMS C.F.
