I am hoping to use the technology knowledge base of the mailing list to help
in my inquiry. I am looking for software to help middle school students in
reading remediation. I haven't been very successful at finding what I am
looking for. The only software I could find is called Academy of Reading.
I've sent off for information on this package. If you are familiar with
this software, I would like to hear from you also. I am from a very small,
rural district so money is a big issue. I hope to find software that is
sold by number of end users or individual computer licenses rather than a
large network enabled program.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The time was when a library was very like a museum and the librarian was a
mouser in musty books.
The time is when the library is a school and the librarian is in the highest
sense a teacher, and a reader is a workman among his tools."
Melvil Dewey  (1851-1931)
