Where do you put an author who "crosses" centuries?  My example is Joseph =
Conrad - wrote in the late 1800's - early 1900's.  Most famous works =
published before 1900, but he was still writing.  (821.8?  821.9?)  My =
thinking is to put him in the time period in which he started, but then I =
think maybe it should be the time in which he last wrote.  Hmmm - anybody =
know of any "rules" regarding this dilemma?  TIA - J'aime
