Target: Author of an old book

I asked about a book at Loganberry and got one answer.  The book was about a
girl named Peg or Peggy who was taken in by a family of rodeo trick riders
who gave her a warm, loving family.  Son may have been named Tuck or family
name may have been Tucker.  The answer said they thought it was a Scholastic
book  from about 1960 called Heads Up! but they didn't give an author.
Anyone out there with an idea?
