I would like to hear from those high schools that are using Accelerated Reader. Our reading scores on the state reading exam are abysmal. We are considering all options to improve those scores. I would especially like to hear from those schools that have used Accelerated Reader over a long period of time. Is it still working, or is there simply a "light bulb" effect (an uptick in reading scores the first year, then a decline). Also, can anyone point me in the direction of research done on using Accelerated Reader at the secondary level. Many thanks in advance.
