Hello all, The posting on a dictionary for librarians reminded me of a brand new book just out: The Children's Literature Dictionary (Definitions, Resources and Learning Activities) by Kathy H. Latrobe, Carolyn S. Brodie, and Maureen White (published by Neal-Schuman Publishers) This is a fantastic reference resource for librarians covering topics from A to Z about children's literature (topics such as mood, motif, various awards for books, potato printing). Each term is given with a definition and its origin/history, followed by examples from children's literature. Then each term has an activity you can use to teach the concept. I highly recommend it!
