Dear List, Learning the meaning behind the name "Mark Twain" reminded me that this past semester one of our English teachers wanted her students to find the meaning of the name "Huckleberry Finn". We did our best but never came up with an answer. Does anyone out there know the answer to this one? Perhaps she knew that some name attached to the book had another meaning and thought it was Huck rather than Mark Twain.
