Hello to everyone: Recently, hits were posted about how librarians teach students to use the OPAC and also how the subject of genres is taught. I have a similar question. When elementary students are exploring websites, do you have a certain procedure to help them? Do you provide a tutorial on how to navigate through a site or do you just let them explore on their own? Do you have them evaluate and/or compare various sites on the same subject? Or is the whole subject of exploring web sites something they do in their own classrooms, in a computer lab, or at home--not in the library? I am a library science student. I would like to be prepared for dealing with this issue when I have a library job. I will post a HIT if I get enough replies. Thank you.
