LM_NET Archive



We are in a primary (elementary to UpOver people) school and have heaps of
books that have spines that are too skinny for a spine label, so we just put
them on the top right of the back cover.  Some prefer the top left of the
front cover, but as long as there is consistency, that's a personal choice.

On our picture books we put the first letter of the author's name on the top
left of the front cover so that they are easier to shelve.  Hey, we are
happy if the kids put them on the correct shelf - not too worried about the
order, because you can grow grey and wrinkled trying to keep things precise.
I find that the greatest key to success is clear labelling and signage -
even my littlest sprouts can find the dinosaur books or the music books or
whatever.  Will takes some photos and show you how via my library webpage.
