In this ninth book in the series, the Baudelaire orphans end up in
the Caligari Carnival along with their enemy, Count Olaf and they
have to disguise themselves as freaks so they can hide with the
carnival freaks from him.  To increase business Count Olaf decides
to have some lions eat one of the freaks each day.  Mean while the
orphans find out more information about their parents.  Will they
get sent to the lions?  Will Count Olaf discover who they are?  Can
they escape?  This 286 page book leads the reader right into the
next book.
