I have a History teacher that is doing a project with 11th graders.
They
need to write journal entries based on living in Kentucky in 1818-1850 &
include any of the following: Panic of 1819, Adams-Onis Treaty, Missouri
Compromise of 1820, Webster-Hayne Debate, Trail of Tears, Development of
the
Whig Party, Panic of 1837, Manifest Destiny, Mexican-American War,
Utopianism, and also include "contact" with ten people that he listed
from
that time.  Do you have any suggestions for resources other than
encyclopedias and bibliographies?
