TECH: AlphaSmarts Printing?

I realize that there have been extensive discussions and postings about Alphasmart 
keyboards and I have read through the postings in the archives.

We would like to purchase a cart of keyboards and set it up so that there is a 
printer on the cart.  The question that we are currently pondering is:

1)  Should we go with a wireless infrared setup or should we should have students 
download with cords/plugs?

Postings in the archives are overwhelmingly positive, but any insights, 
experiences, or helpful hints that you have to offer will be most gratefully 
accepted!!!
