Thanks to all of you who responded. I created a website evaluation sheet = based on the information I collected. If any of you would like that, = email me and I will send it as an attachment. We have a web evaluation form that you can print out from our website. To access it, go to www.hcrhs.k12.nj.us and then click on the library section. Go to research guides and choose Evaluating a Web Page.=20 Good luck. Jennifer Maldonato Hunterdon Central Regional High School Flemington, NJ 08822 ***************************************************************************= ************ Try this website it is great! There are tons of evaluation ideas here. http://mciu.org/~spjvweb/libstuffmaster.html=20 ***************************************************************************= ************* I usually use a web site called Joe Cool or Joe Fool. It takes the kids = through different types of web "problems". I also use the Museum of Hoaxes = web site to look up some hoax web sites. My personal favorite is the = drivers license site. You can find them at www.museumofhoaxes.com. I don't = give the web address out to the kids because there are some questionable things on there. ***************************************************************************= ************** These are what I use... http://school.discovery.com/schrockguide/evalhigh.html=20 for high school http://school.discovery.com/schrockguide/evalmidd.html=20 for middle school http://school.discovery.com/schrockguide/evalmidd.html=20 for elementary school] ***************************************************************************= ************* Try the links from my web page. There are sites where you can find = rubrics for web eval for students. I think it might be the rubric generator. http://www.forestville.wnyric.org/lmc/resources_for_teachers.htm=20 ***************************************************************************= ************* We have one on our web site at http://www.oakland.k12.mi.us/online.htm#D=20= It's interactive, which the kids like. ***************************************************************************= ************** I heard Carol Schwartz speak at OELMA last week=20 and she may have what you need on her web site. I=20 haven't had time to check it out yet.=20 www.libertycenter.k12.oh.us/schwartz/default.htm=20 ***************************************************************************= ************ Someone had a request for a site to teach about website evaluation =3D recently. Here is a good interactive resource for that: The Speed-o'-Light Website Evaluation for Students http://www.classroom.com/edsoasis/guide3.html=20 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
