I'm sorry for the form of this list but I thought it was better to get
it off quickly. Even though there
are titles which may be out of print I think you should have them if
possible. Perhaps from a used
book store. Strand Books in NYC is a good source.

We have a large collection of books on women's history and feminism in
our school. It's been a
special interest of mine. Our library serves 6-12 but most of these are
more appropriate for high
school.

My daughter is a senior at Wellesley and is taking a class right
now in Women's Studies. I asked her for some suggestions, and here is
what she sent:
Rubin, "Families on the Fault Line."
Gilman, "Herland." (pretty subversive, maybe only for seniors... but a
must-have. ALL womens' studies classes read this stuff-- but it's a
little crazy-- about an all-female society. Right.)
Hertz and Marshall, "Working Families" (Hertz is my professor)

The novels that I was thinking of are
Edible Woman, Alias Grace and Surfacing (Atwood)
Lives of Girls and Women (Munro)
anything by Margaret Lawrence
Stone Diaries and Unless (Carol Shields)
We also just got a book last week on feminism from a Native
perspective. It
is by Lee Maracle and published by Theytus books.
