Hello friends! I am working on an Action Research question for a master'= s class. My focus question is, "How can I work with staff and students to = promote productive time use in the media center?" I have grades 6-12 in my = buildling. My biggest problem areas are: high school study hall students, = kids who have run out of work to do in their classrooms and are sent to = the media center to "chill", teachers who send just part of their class to = work on some research project with seemingly unlimited amounts of time to = complete the research, and teachers who bring their classes to the media = center, turn the kids loose, and use their time to "chill" themselves. = Any ideas, policies, commisserations, etc. would be greatly appreciated. = Thanks.
