Does anyone know of a fourth year, or honors or AP year of Japanese offered as a distance learning opportunity to high schools? The last time I checked, we have three years of Japanese instruction available in Virginia through the Virginia Satellite Distance Learning network. I would like to encourage my school to offer Japanese again, especially if I take the Fulbright trip to Japan, but our students tend to prefer Spanish or Latin since they can get a year of AP credit in either. That can make the difference in being named Valedictorian here, and that title is tied to a large scholarship, so it is a major issue. Please respond off list if you know of anything, and I'll post a hit if requested.
