Hello Colleagues, Recently I visited a local publisher to choose some books. In the course of our conversation I noticed a Graphic Novel in our own native language (Maltese). I picked it up and on seeing that it was in Maltese I congratulated him and ordered it for the library, explaining that GN are another way of getting reluctant readers on the road to learning how to read. To my surprise, he gasped back at me that that's going to be the first and last since a lot of teachers discouraged him to continue with other publications stating: "these are not good books to be read by students". My heart fell to the ground on hearing these words! Therefore, I would like to create some awareness about the need of graphic novels for reluctant readers. Can you please send me relevant articles or professional sites about this matter.
