I find the idea of attractive displays and cozy seating areas very appealing for my library, and am going to move in that direction. But I agree with those who say we need to be a library first and that we must focus on quality cataloging and subject-heading assignment to make it possible for students to find books easily by genre. But oh, how I would love to have room (and a principal of the right philosophies) to have a small caf=E9 and couch area in the library. Talk about promoting reading!
