For 29 years the library at our school has been opened every day that the school has been opened. We have prided ourselves in being available for all students at all time. NOW... we have a new administration and they have decided to close us for 3 days, so that they can use the space for standardized testing. To say the least we are not happy. I need to know if this is happening to you. I am looking for ariticles concering best practices for standardized testing, and I am struggling a bit. I can't believe that having low achievers sit in bulk at library tables in a huge room is conducive to better scores. I think the administration is taking advantage of us, and need some ammunition. Can anyone help?
