Dear LM_NET Colleagues, A frendly reminder. For all those times when you just don't have time to wade through all those LM_NET messages.... For all those times when you want to (but don't have time) to go back and look over the key topics on LM_NET - the TARGET-HITS, for example.... For all those times you missed a week or two of LM_NET and wanted an easy way to review some of the most informative postings.... For a direct link to the current selected riches of LM_NET postings via selected, direct Web links.... For all those times, there's now ... LM_NET-Select! The LM_NET-Select compilation is posted three times each week (Mon-Wed-Fri) exclusively through EL-Announce, only to those who are subscribed directly to EL-Announce. Note that LM_NET Select is made possible through the support of the vendors who are members of EL-ANNOUNCE. That's why LM_NET-Select comes via EL-ANNOUNCE, along with a limited number of selected vendor announcements. It is easy to receive LM_NET-Select. Just subscribe to EL-Announce as follows: Send an email message to: El-Announce-request@cuenet.com In the body of the message type the single word: subscribe That's all you need to do. Your name is not required-- just the word: subscribe You will then be added to the mailing list for EL-Announce, and you will receive LM_NET-Select along with a limited number of informative announcements from the selected vendor supporters of LM_NET! If you want to only receive EL-Announce with LM_NET Select compilations, you will need to sign off of LM_NET. Here is how to do that: 1. Send these words in the first (and only) line of a message: signoff lm_net *Please do not include any other words in the message, including signature files! 2. Send your signoff message to: listserv@listserv.syr.edu and you will be dropped. (No other words are necessary.) Important Note for Netscape Mail Users: Netscape and perhaps some other graphical e-mailers require confirmation. The Listserv software recognized that Netscape and certain other e-mail software allows easy faking of return addresses, so Listserv has built in a response confirmation required checking system for all signoff requests from such e-mailers. In this case, please allow time to reply to the automated message that you will receive very soon after requesting to sign off! If you are unable to sign-off alone, contact the managers-owners of the list, and ask them to remove you (pmilbury@ericir.syr.edu or (mbe@U.WASHINGTON.EDU). We will do it as soon as it is humanly possible.
